The Blooming Wonders of Venice
Each image in "The Blooming Wonders of Venice" tells a unique story of metamorphosis and rebirth. The figures, draped in porcelain or flowers, symbolize a departure from conventional beauty standards, embracing diversity and the inherent beauty in all forms. The water, a recurring element, serves as a metaphor for fluidity and change, suggesting that beauty and identity are not static but constantly evolving.
"The Blooming Wonders of Venice" invites viewers to step into a world where nature and artifice blend seamlessly, where beauty is found in diversity, and where the old and the new coexist in perfect harmony. This project not only celebrates the timeless allure of Venice but also paves the way for future explorations in digital artistry challenging perceptions of beauty, materiality, and the relationship between humanity and its environment.
About the artist
Nada Pleskonjic graduated cinematography at Faculty of Dramatic Arts (University of Arts), Belgrade, Serbia (2007). Her background in cinematography has lent a cinematic depth to her photography projects and portraits, allowing her to tell compelling stories. Her artistic vision is one of continuous exploration and adaptation. With each project, she strive to push the boundaries of visual storytelling, creating images that are not only aesthetically compelling but also thought-provoking. Recently, her artistic journey has taken a bold new direction with the advent of AI-generated imagery. Her current AI work explores the intersection of humanity and technology, creating portraits that are at once familiar and otherworldly. Beside solo exhibitions, she participated in various group exhibitions and art projects.
