In Time’s Grip
“In Time’s Grip” captures a powerful moment of struggle and the desire for freedom. The artwork depicts a person attempting to escape from a storm within a glass, while the glass is firmly held by another hand. This symbolizes the limitations and pressures exerted by external forces, as if we are trapped in an invisible barrier. The storm within the glass reflects both internal chaos and the external challenges we face as we try to find our own path.
In the background, clocks float throughout the scene, enhancing the sense of urgency and the inescapability of time passing. They serve as a reminder that time is relentless, moving forward regardless of our struggles. The clocks represent the constant pressure that time imposes on us, often in moments when we feel most trapped.
The fact that the glass is held by someone else suggests that our circumstances are often beyond our control, influenced by forces or people around us. “In Time’s Grip” invites the viewer to reflect on the moments in their own life where they feel confined by circumstances and the role time plays in this struggle.
