Growth economy
The Doomsday Clock, set at 90 seconds to midnight, reflects the growing risk of catastrophic events threatening humanity. Climate change poses an existential threat, with extreme weather and ecological collapse affecting global stability. Cyber warfare and disinformation weaken trust in institutions, potentially leading to conflict. The rise of artificial intelligence introduces new risks, from job displacement to unintended consequences. These threats highlight the urgent need for collective action to ensure a safer future. Can art save the world? What can artist do to help?

Peter Weiler is a Hungarian multimedia artist working primarily with digital tools. Weiler often blends art history and the contemporary art scene in his colorful works, juxtaposing the banality of modern city life with the privileges and comfort of our society. His practice revolves around storytelling, where often the most important parts are the invisible, left-out or missing elements. Weiler was the first Hungarian artist to sell an NFT artwork for cryptocurrency. He is among the leading Hungarian artists researching and working with artificial intelligence. He graduated from The Art Institute of Philadelphia in 1996 and after spending two years in the USA he moved back to Budapest where he currently works. In 2021 Weiler graduated from School of Visual Arts Master of Fine Arts program in New York. Weiler is currently working on his doctorate at the MOME design and art university in Hungary.
