Artist statement
dia de muertos
These are selections from the "dia de muertos" series of ai generated and composited images. I set out to create an alternative range of images for "the day of the dead" celebrations featuring skeletal and non-human characters. There is no image in the series resulting from a single prompt. Instead, each image is built up from multiple ai text to image generated resources and based on a similar themed prompt, where the prompt has been tweaked, slightly altered and developed to produce a range of resources to select and build from. Each resource has then been composited and edited to create the final image.

AI is just one of the many tools I use to create and shape. My process using AI is usually to collect resources from text to image prompted creations around a singular theme and digitally-collage / composite them in programs such as Photoshop, Gimp and Vegas video, to name a few.
