Open Calls and Community Recognition

A short note on how AI-ARTS open calls and competitions can support artists while keeping review, context and future voting features careful.

Competitions have always been part of the AI-ARTS identity. The new platform prepares for that history by connecting open calls to artwork records instead of asking artists to duplicate the same information in disconnected places.

Works First

An artist can prepare a work with images, captions, descriptions and a statement. Once reviewed and published, that same work can later be linked to an open call or competition entry.

Careful Recognition

Community voting, ratings and comments will be introduced later. They should be designed with care so recognition feels useful and respectful rather than rushed or discouraging.

Public Context

Competition pages should show the theme, dates, open or closed status, and published entries where appropriate. Drafts, private submissions and curator notes should remain private.

Future Voting

Some competitions may later use a custom public voting icon, continuing the spirit of earlier AI-ARTS community voting tools without rebuilding that system before the core workflow is ready.
